With the new year comes a clean slate along with many resolutions. This month's blog hop challenge involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust! Go through your stash and see what little used treasure it might hold. 2011 is the year where what's old is new again!
This month's challenge was a bit of a challenge because I didn't know which set to use. Yes, I have lots of sets that need to be inked up. Saturday was a glorious snow day so I made two cards for this month's hop. I think a personal challenge for the year will be to ink them all before ordering more. HA! That should last until 11:59 PM Feb. 14th. Then all willpower seems to go straight out the window.
First Set: All Star
I needed a card for my teenaged nephew and I just know that cutesy Tiny Treats or heartsy everything else would not work for him. So, I zeroed in on one of his great loves, soccer. Even though this Valentine doesn't say I love him, he knows that I really am one of his biggest fans.
Second Set: Little Bitty Bird
Can I just say that Audrey was absolutely right. She told me I'd love this set and oh how I do. In fact, I've got another idea rattling around in my head just dying to get out. Hopefully I won't forget before I find time to hide out in my craft room.
This year, I'm aiming to participate in all 12 Blog Hop's. Wish me luck!! Thanks for stopping by. Follow along if you like what you see, and hopefully I'll see you next month, if not sooner.
Happy Hopping!!

Oh, he should love that card. I think its perfect for a teen guy. I really like the show of movement you made with the little piercing line - cute! I also love those little birdies on the second card..cute!
Ooh, the little bitty bird card is my fave! I love the sheet music background stamped in yellow ink- it really makes those sweet birdies pop off the card!
Your first card is really fun and graphic, perfect for a teenager, and the second card is just cute as can be!!!
Both are cute! Love the ball's "path"! The birds are so cute too!!
these are both awesome and honestly..sometimes I wonder if we forget the boys..so I really appreciate the first card! its just so kind and thoughtful..
and of course the second card is WAY cute!
Oh that pierced ball bouncing just steals the show! Great creations!
Next to guy cards, teenage boy cards must be the hardest to create. I think yours is perfect.
very pretty, i just got the all star set for christmas and still haven't inked it up yet :)
These are both adorable! I'm sure your nephew will just love his card. Love the grass you made in your Little Bitty Bird card.....Is that hand cut or a die?
Little Bitty Birdy will be in my next order - I can't hold out anymore! Beautiful cards!
Excellent cards! Really like the card for your nephew. Love the piercing showing the ball bouncing. And the more I see cards made with the Bitty Birds, the more I'm liking this set. Man, my wish list just keeps growing!
Both of these sets are still on my wish list, and I love what you've done with them. Your card for your nephew is perfectly understated, and the piercing is fabulous. I love the design of the second one! Those birds are just too cute!
I love them both! I love the bouncing ball on the first, I can't wait till soccer season next year to try it, and your Bitty Bird card is just so pretty!

Cute cards! Thanks for sharing!
love the soccer card and how it's just perfect for Valentine's for a teen boy with out being mushy!
Wonderful cards, I love them both!
Still making my way through the blog hop! SO glad that you love Little Bitty Bird :) It is definately one of my favorites, and you used it beautifully! :) I am still needing that music background set... I think they go perfectly together! Can't wait to see what else you make with LBB! :)
What great cards. Apologies for my late arrival as I am still meandering (no longer have the energy to hop) through the entries. I love the soccer ball in motion and how you partitioned off the frame in your second card with the grass. Such neat ideas.
